WHY? Florida wants talent. Not the kind that's on America's Got Talent, although that kid who played the Beagle while his Gecko did that dancing trick on the edge of that firey mini-volcano was quite something. Where'd they get a gecko like that anyway? Not that stupid TV commercial I hope. That commercial is awful. Talking lizards? Right? That's about as likely as Brock making a bad draft pick. It doesn't happen. Well, there was that one time. But it wasn't in this league so I won't talk about it. What about them Panthers anyway. They're like black sometimes and they can eat you. Amazing.

WHY? Some GM"s in this draft are actually considering this player earlier. So if he falls here Boston will be happy. He's big. He's skilled. He played with much older players in the NCAA which hit his stats. But the kid is the bomb.

WHY? Up. It was a great movie. And that's where John's career will go. A physical specimin wiith tons of talent. He didn't perform that well under pressure, but could be a good 2nd line C down the road, or perhaps even more. Ottawa's second pick in the round allows them to take some risk.

WHY? Just another quality pick for the Hurricans new GM Jon. This kid could be a player. If not he's gonna make your roster. This one of the safest picks outside of the top 10.

WHY? The Ducks draft with their heads and not their hearts. They can see the development of this fine young defenseman. They think that he's dropped and they're probably right.

WHY? Because they're got a plan for Kabanov. If he tries to board a flight to Moscow at the Newark airport a few heavy set Italian gentleman will be there to pursuade him otherwise.

WHY? The Leafs will ignore the start to his season and instead look at the way he handled it and improved. Improving players are attractive.

WHY? Senators are going hard for a big two kick at the Stanley cup Can. But they're also conscious that they need to rebuild the talent level in a big way. Here they'll take the tools, even though the toolbox is missing. Pysyk can skate like David Pelletier. He just needs to find his Jamie Sale.
